Dahlia bouquets

Dahlia bouquets arrive in late summer and stay through the first cold nights, and their color is impossible to fake: crimson, violet, fuchsia, gold. Caroline works them tight and abundant, sometimes with coxcomb, sometimes with hydrangea, in vessels that carry the weight of the heads. Dahlias do not travel well, so the compositions below appear only when the morning market has them at their peak.
